Answers
How do I find out which website package I need?
It all depends on what you need your website for. For instance, a hotel would need to have a platinum website simply because they would upload lots of photographs of their rooms, events, celebrations etc, maps, brochures, and also because all the content would be translated to various languages.
A Photographer or an art gallery might need the premium package, because the premium package would provide them with a good looking template, cut to their needs, and some presentation goodies like slideshows etc. They might want to extend to platinum, should they want to add language support for multiple languages.
A small company or a person who would like to have their own website, but wouldnt want to display many texts or have photo slideshows (a blog website, for instance, or a local website for a small business etc), would need the standard package, which will give them all the functionality of CubeSuite plus a beautiful theme to display their content.
How do I pay and get my website?
Payment is managed through PayPal for transaction security and also for being able to offer your website right after payment, automatically. If you don't have an account at PayPal, you can create one at www.paypal.com.
Once you have completed the payment, you will receive an e-mail containing your billing information as well as information on how to access your website and its administration panel. For more information, click here.
Is the storage space you offer enough for my needs?
Storage space applies to photographs and images only. That means that you can have as many texts as you wish and they don't affect your quota. Images, if sized properly, for web purposes, can be pretty small. For instance, a photograph that is 1024x768, with resolution 72dpi, can be around 40kb-80kb.
That means that for the standard package storage (40mb), for instance, you can have up to around 500 photographs! Or you can chooses to increase quality/resolution accordingly.
I already have a domain at a registrar, how do I know if I can point it to my CubeSuite Website?
If your domain administration panel has a DNS panel, then it most likely supports this redirect. In any case, 90% of registrars will do that for you simply by sending them an e-mail telling them where to point your domain to.
Can I massively purchase N websites?
You can have N websites registered to your account, but you cannot buy them all at once. Each website should be purchased individually.
Why would I need a multilingual website?
Multilingual websites are very important when the visitors you are referring to are from other countries. Yes of course, English is a language pretty much undestood and spoken widely around the planet. However, one may be able to understand English but not very well in order to user your website.
Therefore it is important, even sort of mandatory, for some types of websites, to have multilingual support. Some examples are tourism websites. Imagine a Website advertising holidays in the Swiss Alps, that is only written in the local language, French or German. That would rule out anyone who doesn't speak this particular language, and that hurts visibility and ultimately, business income and profit.
Why is a dynamic website good for me?
The term dynamic refers to content. Static websites are websites, the pages of which, have the content (texts, photos etc) hard-coded into the page. Dynamic ones, on the other hand, allow the adminstrator to change, edit, delete, or add new content, whenever/wherever they wish.
Through dynamic websites, the client can alter their website, without incuding the website developer in the process. That means that the changes will be done instantly, at whatever time the client wishes to change something, and without extra support costs.
Do I need ajax navigation on my website?
Ajax navigation is a new way of navigating around a website. It is what we all refer to as "navigating without the need to refresh the page". That means loading times are dramatically reduced because the whole page (graphics etc) do not have to be reloaded every time the visitor clicks on a link.
Please note though that the way we do things in CubeSuite, Ajax does not "discourage" search engine bots, and indexes correctly and efficiently. Also note that our themes are viewable even on browsers without javascript support.
Will my website appear on Search Engines?
As stated above, your website will be indexed efficiently and correctly by search engine bots. That also depends on the content that you upload.
Is my website cross-browser compatible?
Yes, it is. While the administration panel is compatible with specific browsers and we encourage the use of them instead of unsupported ones, the front-end of your website (visible to your visitors) is completely cross-browser compatible.
How do I preprocess the images I upload?
To scale them properly, you can google search for "image process" or use any image processing tool like Photoshop, Gimp, or Windows Paint.
Why should I preprocess the images I upload?
You need to scale your images to the proper size otherwise you will make them hard to view by visitors or you will fill up your quota quickly and wont be able to upload new ones.
