Language Settings

If your website is a Platinum Website, then you will have the translation module installed and enabled, and therefore your website will have the ability to be multilingual.

That is very important if, for example, you would like to create a hotel website, or a company website which sells products in many countries.

Once enabled, the language module will appear in the TWAP as a link in the main menu list, called "Language Settings".

Entering this panel, the system displays a list of currently installed languages, along with some options for each language:

Flag : the language flag icon
Default (choosing whether this language will be the default one along the frontend)
Title : The language title, written according to your preference
Enabled : whether this language is enabled throughout the system or not
Delete : deletes the language

Choosing Default Language can be done by the radio button right next to the Language flag. Please note that this does not affect the TWAP interface language which will remain in english. This affects the default language of your website's content (what visitors see).

The language title is the title that this language will have throughout the Administration Panel or the website. For instance it could be : "English" for english, or "Ingles". This is entirely up to your own preference.

If you choose to enable a language, it will be available in the Content Translator, for translating content. Also, it will be available in the front end of your website, as an option for the visitor to change the website language.

It is wise to enable this language only when translating and disabling it afterwards, until the website content is fully translated, then enabling it for public use.

You can delete a language by clicking the delete button ().

You can save your language list changes by clicking the "save" button right below the list.

Adding New Languages

Right below the languages list is the new language installer. To install new languages, select the language that you would like to install from the drop-down menu, and click on "install".
