Galleries

If the Gallery module is enabled, you can create and manage as many photo Galleries as you want!

How the system will display the galleries that you add, is up to the Theme that you are using.

The start page of the Gallery manager lists the created Galleries in a table which lists the galleries and some data about them. Specifically the data available to the administrator are:

• ID - internal structure to help with identifying galleries for support reasons
• title - gallery title
• description - gallery description
• number of photos - number of photos the gallery contains

The operations available to the website administrator are:

• Add new Gallery
• Delete Gallery
• Massively Delete many Galleries
• Proceed to the Gallery contents managment page

These will be explained in detail below.

Adding new Gallery

Click on the addition icon () to open the "new gallery" dialog. You need to enter the following data to create a new gallery:

• Title - the Gallery Title e.g. "Holidays 2009"
• Description - the Gallery description e.g. "Maldives, Bora Bora, Havana, Monte Carlo"

Optionally, you can choose to create a Primary Menu item associated with this gallery. To do so, check the "Provide Menu" box and enter the Menu item title and weight.

Click on the "save" button to add the Gallery.

Deleting existing Gallery

To delete an existing Gallery, click on its deletion icon (). After confirming your choice, the system will delete the Gallery data and all the images in it!

Massively Deleting existing Gallery

To massively delete Galleries, select them either by checking each one's deletion checkbox or by using the "select all" checkbox. To proceed, click on the trash icon (). After confirming your choice, the system will delete the Galleries, their data and all the images in them!

To enter a Gallery and view the photos in it, edit its description/title and add more/delete photos, click on the gallery edit icon ().
