Pages (content)
The Page manager is one of the most important parts of the ThemeChef Website Administration Panel (TWAP).
Pages are the building blocks of your website. This is where your content goes, texts, images, maps, etc. You can link to them using menu items, and you can style your pages the way you want to, using the text editor that we provide.
Following the already known and standardised method of displaying data, the system will display a list of all the Content Pages that have been entered.
The following data are displayed for each Page:
- id - the page ID (in case you need it for support reasons)
- teaser - A teaser text about this page, to help you with identification
- translated languages *
- enabled/disabled status - green/red, depending on published status
- type - the page type (index pages cannot be deleted)
- operations - edit / delete / translate *
* : available only on Platinum websites.

Adding a new page
To add a new page, click on the addition icon at the top right side of the box (
). This will open a pop-up dialog which will guide you through the page addition process.

You will be asked to enter a Title for your page (you can leave it blank if you don't want your page to have a title), the page text (which goes in the page body) using the text editor, the published status, and, optionally, you can choose to create a Primary Menu item as well.
Once you have entered all the texts and styled your page the way you want it to appear on your website, you can choose to automaticaly create a Primary Menu that will link to it.
To do this, simply check the "Provide Menu" checkbox, add the menu title and weight, and press "save" to save your page. The system will then create your page, as well as the Primary Menu Item that will link to it.
Editing an existing page
To edit your previously created Page, you need to click on the edit icon (
) of the page that you wish to edit, and the Page editing dialog pop-up will open.
The Page editing form is the same as the addition one, but it is a pre-populated form, i.e. the input fields are already filled in with the page data.
You can change all that you need to change, then press "save" to save the Page, or discard the changes by closing the dialog.
Note that you cannot edit the Primary Menu title for that page here, but you can edit it as if it were a normal Primary Menu Item, from the Primary Menu manager.
Deleting an existing page
To delete a Page, click on the deletion icon (
) of the page you wish to delete. The system will ask for confirmation of this choice. Once confirmed, the page will be deleted.
Note that you cannot delete Index Pages. You can choose not to show them, but they need to be there for every website.
Mass deletion of pages
To massively delete your pages, select the pages you wish to delete by either checking their checkboxes, one by one, or select all by checking the top left checkbox.
Then click on the trash icon (
) to delete them. After confirmation of this choice, all the pages that you have selected will be deleted.
